kelpdiver 2 #1 August 24, 2004 Thanks to an employer dispute, I now have time to jump on weekdays! A good time to visit the other DZs without the full bustle of the weekend traffic. But more information would be great, not sure how long this will last. (part of me hopes a while, and the part that wants to buy a rig soon hopes not) I'll need a rig and packing (forgive me - waiting till I have my own), would want to do ~3 jumps a day. Who's got the conditions and enough others to make it worth doing, say on Wednesday? Skydance - finished my A there last Thursday. They fly a 182 for small loads, send up the Caravan (Pac now?) for bigger cluster of tandems + people. Haven't been winded out yet. Monterey - did AFF there on weekends. Not sure how much life is there on weekdays? Was flying their 206 a lot in May. Long drive from SF for a day run. Lots of wind issues while on student status. Hollister - did a tandem in 2000. Know little more. Byron - haven't gone yet. What's the wind like lately? Lodi - a bit far and warm, maybe after the other 2. Jason
Deuce 1 #2 August 24, 2004 If you come out tomorrow, we may be able to get the KingAir up. I've got 15 tandems to do, at least, so if we have enough upjumpers, everybody gets the turbine upgrade. This last weekend was windy, but this is the time of year it starts letting up.
kelpdiver 2 #3 August 24, 2004 sounds like the plan! How early in the day are the tandems scheduled to start?
Deuce 1 #4 August 24, 2004 I'll be there at 8. We should be getting load one up by 9 at the latest, I think. If we don't get 8 or 9 folks per load, we'll be taking the 206 with SuperDaveSemperFiOHYEAH! The pilot so burly he makes all aircraft look like pedal cars.
