Bodyflight.Net 0 #1 August 25, 2004 I just got back from celebrating the Birthday of a tunnelrat friend at the North Carolina tunnel, and I'm telling you it was awesome!!! There was Wes Evans (Happy B-Day), Keith Kimbrough, John & myself.. we were able to fly 4 shoulder to shoulder, and we worked on a couple of other formations where we were stacked on top of one another etc. I got in 35 minutes today and I'm going back on Saturday and I CAN'T WAIT!! I should have pictures of it all in a week or so, I'll be sure to post a couple!!!! How does it compare to a skyventure tunnel?Egad, A BASE life defiles a bad age. And the earplug noise thing too.. this is very quiet and feels JUST LIKE FREEFALL, especially since all you see is blue skies!
 pullhigh 0 #5 August 30, 2004 I'm sure it's great, and I can;t wait to get up there, but are there any "non-employee" accounts of what to expect at that tunnel? Wind speeds, air quality, etc.... Is it strong enough to get my fat ass some tunnel time? lol Ganja
 Bodyflight.Net 0 #6 August 30, 2004 we haven't had too many people over there yet since it just opened last weekend for saturdays only... don't know if you know Paxton Vineyard from the Freedom of Flight School in DeLand.. he came out and flew and loved it.. Joao hasn't come yet but is coming soon with Juliana in a couple of weeks.. it's basically been private until now.. but honestly, I don't care how big or fat you say you are.. it won't be any problem *unless I guess your 300lbs and short! You can expect it to be just like skyventure without the fluxuations so it's even easier for heavy people or groups. The air is the best that I have ever flown in, and I own my own tunnel. So listen to the lady, she knows what she is talking about.
