gemini 0 #1 August 26, 2004 spending a coupla' weeks on business. Got my rig with me. Where is the best place to jump in the area? I've looked at SWOOP and Niagra since they are only 7 and 36 km from where I am working. Thanks. Blue skies, Jim
flyingangel 0 #2 August 26, 2004 I have not been to Swoop yet, but Niagara and Burnaby are both great drop zones in the west end of Toronto. I think Burnaby still has the Otter and Niagara, the King Air. I have many friends out at Burnaby so I'm a little prejudiced.
Push 0 #3 August 26, 2004 www.skydiveburnaby.com The best dropzone around, hands down The only full time Twin Otter in Canada, and overall a great place. We are right next to Skydive Niagara. Burnaby is where the Canadian bigway records are happening every year. We have a growing birdman population with several instructors. Lots of freefliers and some excellent flat fliers, including the Canadian national 4 way team, Stratosfear. Come on out, if you don't like it you can always head down to Niagara, they're only 20 minutes away. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.

gemini 0 #5 August 27, 2004 No just up here on business. Looks like we are going to get weathered out this weekend. Still may go by the dz just to see it and meet a few peeps. Blue skies, Jim
packerboy 3 #6 August 27, 2004 If you are going to be around Labour Day weekend, Skydive Gananoque is going to be the place to go that weekend. CSS is sending an Otter.. we have 2 182's and a 206. There is going to be lots of RW, Freefly, Birdman, CRW, and probably enough tandem packing to keep me out of the air [:/. It's a bit of a hike, but well worth it. skydivegan.com -------------------------------------------------- In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. ~ Thomas Jefferson
AndreLapointe 0 #7 August 28, 2004 Jim Sadly we never got to meet while we were at TSR. We do appreciate the work you did on the web site and all. Conway was on the same plane as i and i can assure you he's the best. Conway is the best darn Otter door operator i've seen in a long time. Saturday August 28th is the Steve West Memorial 8-way meet at Burnaby. Mostly pick-up teams. You have to be there early and work the crowd. I had Lee McMillian on my team 4 years ago. We called ourselves Texas Thunder. Then later, we're going to Frontier Skydivers in Wilson NY(about an hour away)for a 16-way Pops night jump. We hold the current World Night Pops Large Formation Record at twelve. You're right, the forecast is not great, but if you need more information about skydiving in the area or the local culture or...give me a call.
