Recommendations NC Fort Bragg

What SP just said. I just got back from there on Monday. Had a great time and some wonderful skydives. I haven't found a greater bunch of people anywhere and I've been to lots of different places.

The Ft. Bragg area is full of really good DZs. Like John (slotperfect) mentioned -Raeford has a super otter and sometimes the CASA will fly.

The Ft. Bragg Sport Parachute Activites Club (formally the Green Beret Sport Parachute Club) operates out of [ url "www.skydiveparkton.com" ] Skydive Parkton [/url] . That's the lowest cost training in the area, since it's sponsored by the MWR at Ft. Bragg. That DZ has the largest landing area. There's a King Air and a Cessna.

Carolina Sky Sports is about a hour and a half from Ft. Bragg (just north of Raleigh). They've usually got a CASA and a Super Otter flying but I think they do the Tandem Progression method.

Lastly there's Costal Carolinas which is about 2 hours from Bragg. They fly a Cessna. But it is near the beach and once you get your C license you can do beach jumps.

Hope this helps.

LMAO!!!:D Good one...

Both Raeford and Parkton great places to jump... Raeford's pretty well established and I hear Parkton is in the process of some pretty killer upgrades to the packing area and dz in general. It's also an easy dz to land on because if you can't see I-95 from the sky you're pretty much a jackass!

Thanks to everyone for the great information. Unfortunately I will only be in the Fort Bragg area for a short time visiting and was hoping to get certified and maybe even licensed. It would be more cost effective to go through training in NC then here in NY. I'll be certain to post my adventures when I get back.

HAHAHAHA....Amen.

I've only jumped at Parkton (plan on Raeford next time I visit the folks) and they have a very good vibe.

If you go just make sure to give Eugene shit.
Anyone know if Mack is still there? I owe him some beer :S
