Thank god for that.

I was only discussing this the other night and we concluded it looked like the end for both proposed tunnels.

I do hope at least one of them gets off the ground.

Skyventure UK also now is saying that it has almost got its funding and that they are now close to building not one but TWO windtunnels. Have a look at www.skyventure.co.uk for their latest update. The second tunnel is going to be at the other Escape snowdome in Leeds.

DERA used to use the tunnel to 'spin test' plane models.. and then later on just as a pressure vessel (like a huge compressor tank)

There is a video there explaining scientific use for vertical tunnels.

Main changes for our site is the additional power needed and cooling. Which is where our technical effort has been focussed.

Our prop manufacture will take 6 months from order, so at least that long sadly!

I will be able to provide an exact date within 6 weeks, barring no issues. It will then be a final date, either way.

Update on Skyventure tunnel from Simon today:

We have managed to bring in the build quote far, far lower than we had budgeted

We have changed the arrangement with the suppliers

We can therefore borrow much less money which has a significant impact on our monthly expenses

We have attracted further investment

We can see the balance and believe it will be with us by the end of this month

We aim to order our first tunnel this month

Even after full funding we can offer investors the opportunity of investing as it reduces the loans

As a result, we shall be issuing a new prospectus this week which I shall send to you. We will require you to respond by email agreeing to support the plan; we can then release the funds and build the business.
