skytash 0 #1 November 15, 2004 I know this is some time off, but I should just get back to Europe in time for this time of your from my stint in India (with no jumping ) Is there a good boogie somewhere in Europe or the US over Mardis Gras which has lots of flat flying at all levels? I need to get my knees in the breeze again and want to plan the trip now to have something to look forward to (and get tickets before it gets to close and expensive!) tashDon't ever save anything for a special occasion. BillyVance 34 #2 November 15, 2004 There's the Mardi Gras boogie at Gold Coast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS. 9 days of jumping your ass off! They have multiple twin turbines available every year for that boogie. Great fun. It's usually the last week of February or in early March. Need to check the calendar when it is this coming Mardi Gras... chaoskitty 0 #3 November 16, 2004 QuoteThere's the Mardi Gras boogie at Gold Coast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS. I heard that boogie was a no-go this year. Maybe just an ugly rumor though, check with the dz for certain.
Amazon 7 #4 November 16, 2004 I think I will pass it up and head to Hawaii for that months jumping instead of the Gulf Coast...
volo 0 #5 November 16, 2004 Yeah, from what I understand the Mardi Gras Boogie @ Gold Coast Skydivers is no more. It seems to be a rumor most all the time, but I keep asking people around the dropzone and they all give me the same answer. Pretty much there are no plans and interest this coming year for Mike to continue the boogie. On the other hand, things can change in a moment and he may go ahead and do it again. So far from the crew at Gold Coast, it's not gonna happen. I guess we'll see...Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com
FlyingJ 0 #6 November 16, 2004 Not sure what the exact dates surrounding Mardi Gras are, but if you are looking for something mid-March you should check out the Roaming DZ St. Patrick's Day boogie. This thread got locked because it is still a little far away, but it has some details. I'm sure that more will be posted soon on www.roamingdz.com as well. I didn't start getting to know this group until this year, but I hear that last years jumping and party was epic.Killing threads since 2004.
