Drop Zones in Abilene, Tx area

Looking for a dz in the Abilene area, I am moving there next month. Would appreciate any info on jumping in the area or what ever is closest.

The new DZ locater on this very website is pretty badass. Whats not badass is your options. The area code used in the search should be 79601.

Since you can't link search results, you'll have to search. Your closest is Eagle Flight in Granbury which is 110 miles, followed by West Tex at 130 miles, then SD Eagles Nest at 158 miles, SD Temple at 170mi and SD Dallas at 202mi. SD Dallas is the only turbine DZ out of the bunch, I've only jumped at Dallas and Eagle Flight, both are GREAT DZs, but I've also heard that the other DZs listed are badass as well.

SD Aggieland (my obvious favorite) is 235mi away, which is a stone's throw in a Texas sort of way.

Yea, It is in between Decatur and Rhome, just off of Highway 287.

For those who don't know, that's about 10 miles south of where SD Texas used to be, still a good ways from Abiliene, but it is closer then Eagle Flight...forgot to mention Cow Town in my post...D'oh.

Scott Moore started that DZ, although I haven't been able to go visit yet, just knowing Scott that's probably a fun and safe DZ.

that's one dz i plan on visiting when i get the chance just because of the name. how could you forget that one dave.
