Skydiving in GERMANY - all help would be appreciated

Recommended Posts

Hi guys ! First of all, I´m sorry for my English, and I really did some research on the forum before coming here to post asking for help.

My name is Felipe Raul, I´m from Brazil and I´m 17 years old ... brazilian "A" license, I think it has the same requiriments to get one as an USPA 'A' license does.

35 jumps .. I´m flying a PD-170.

On january/2005, I will be going to Germany on a interchange student program ... I´ll be there for 2 months, and of course, I´d like to skydive there too.

All help would be appreciated -
1) Where are there dropzones there ? I still dont´ know the name of the city I´ll be in.

2) Do you guys know how much is the ticket and how high ?

3) Can I jump there with my CBPQ (brazil´s 'USPA') A license ?

4) How is the weather there arround this time of the year ? It will be extremely cold, I know .. but anyways, do they jump all year long ? How is the procedure to jump on a -10ºC situation ?

Sorry to bother you guys, but nextime anyone asks about places to jump in Brazil, I´ll write a textbook to help :)

Thanks in advance,

Felipe.

A list of dropzones in Germany. It's a start.:)

Expect ticket prices around 25€ (~30$). Altitude depends on the plane used, but it shouldn't be hard to get to 4000m.

No idea. I suggest you check with your association to see how 'international' your license is and if you need any additional documents for jumping abroad. Some form of insurance in also a good idea, as is an aad.

The procedure is to wrap yourself in as many layers of clothing as is possible without limiting your ability to pull, initiate emergency procedures and fly your canopy.:P
But seriously, weather can be a bit of a problem. Don't expect to make 10 jumps per weekend.

you can also ask the question on the Stammtisch (german speaking forum).

But in january, many germans are jumping in Spain and Tunisia :P

Nevertheless it will certainly be able to dial in a couple of jumps

Hi Felipe,

If possible you shouldn't miss to jump in the Snow. I did my first jump with white Earth and Blue Sky this Year in February and it was one of my best Jumps ever. I am pretty sure you can't get that in Brazil :-)

Martin

Ups, is that a white Canopy above me?
