i8dasmurf 0 #1 January 19, 2005 I have a group of probrably 10 or more people that all are wanting to skydive march 5th on our way from Grand Rapids, MI to panama city beach, FL. Ive looked into: ASC, skydive monroe, and a few others around the ATL area. Which dive ground would you guys suggest for the cheepest rate and best flight? PhreeZone 20 #2 January 19, 2005 Skydive Atlanta or Skydive the Farm. Read the reviews on all the DZ's first. Call and talk to them. There are reasons that I do not like ASC, do a seach for "Skyride" on here and you'll see most of them.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Ive looked into: ASC, skydive monroe, and a few others around the ATL area. Which dive ground would you guys suggest for the cheepest rate and best flight? If you have a nice group of 10+, you should just call and ask each one what they'll do for you. Be clear on what the altitude you'll leave the plane will be, and how many of you can go on each plane load. Those two will vary from place to place. 12.5-15k should be one price, 9-10k would be cheaper, 18 would be more expensive. The middle altitude is probably best. You may be asked to make a deposit when you schedule the group - shouldn't be more than 50/head. It's fair for them to ask for that, esp if they're bringing in tandem masters to accommodate your group. You shouldn't however, pay full price in advance. The hardest part of doing group skydiving trips is the flake factor. A lot of people are gung ho right up to the point of commitment, and a group of ten can suddenly shrink to 5. That deposit forces the issue for wafflers. As was alluded to, don't deal with Skyride, or any outfit that wants payment in full over the phone, or doesn't tell you where it's located. 'it's 45 minutes from XX' is a bad sign. In the worst cases people have paid for a jump, but find the dropzone doesn't accept these vouchers, or the customers find that the dropzone is well out of the way.
