blackdog 0 #3 February 14, 2005 they are both very good drop zones. Where do you live is a better factor for the training. For the setting you can't touch Santa Barbara. Taft is in a part of Cali most people wish never existed :). Just not the prettiest place on earth, where as Santa Barbara, Lompoc actually, is on of the most beautiful. Taft has a bunkhouse which offers cheap housing, SB doesn't. But Taft is not a real night life type place. Like most DZ's at the moment both are not open every day, but will be soon as the weathwer changes. Both DZ's have very good and competent instructors and AFF programs.
