Does anyone know the fate of New Orleans Skydiving Center? I heard it was shutting down... but one can't always believe "rumors"!
I'm heading that way soon and can't get in touch with anyone there. Ummmm?

The thread you reference is for Gold Coast Skydivers in Moss Point, Mississippi.

I believe the original post was inquiring about a DZ in Thibodaux.

FYI, I believe someone is trying to get a new DZ going in Slidell, Skydive N'Awlins http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/Detailed/990.shtml

I noticed some recent activity from them in the Gulf Coast skydiving e-mail group list.

I'll be out at Moss Point this weekend, and I'll try to ask some of the guys from Louisianna if they've heard anything about the Thibodaux DZ.

There's a third DZ in the area called New Orleans Skydiving Center, and yes, the DZOs announced last week they are closing.
