safety day at the farm

Recommended Posts

yeah thats it we were all dancing and singing all the way to altitude.. No, what happened is a jumper sat behind the co-pilot seat. I believe he had a talon rig. He must of caught the pin on the seat and at 12, 000ft as he was checking his gear..POP there it went. So the door was secured and we landed with no problem. So back up we went. Thats it nothing too exciting. Then last load today. John had a line over, which he chopped and landed ok.. So all the nebies at the Dz this week-end got to experience shit that really happens. The same jumper with the reserve pop went on a few loads later he was fine. the only safety concern i had was on saturday night watching beezy struggle to his camper. I was so hoping for a pond swim:P

It was safety Day. The Jumper felt his reserve pop as the pilot was giving us standby.
He let everyone in the plane know instantly and the door was not opened. the pilot chute was on the floor between the pilot seats.

Great call and even better responce from all on board.

After looking at the rig on the ground I noticed the reserve cable was too short. (no extra cable when the rig was on and tight).

Robbie you missed some cool jamming on the guitar. Some dude from Michigan came down with his buddies.

So where the f*ck are these guys when I'm all alone trying to remember the chords to songs I've known for 10 years?! (I still dont know what happened to my long term memory that night. Must've been the weather.) :SB|:D

If you jump AND play an instrument bring it to Dublin dammit! Its always better to play with other jumpers than with yourself.

...Accidental reserve deployment on a Talon huh? COOL! Whos sittin' behind ME on the next load?

I am the only one who can kick people off the DZ & if I'd have kicked ya off I'd have let ya know it.

Gee - I wonder who wrote that!:|

This is total BUllshit

Huh....funny...so is lurking a thread from another dropzone...than posting on it trying to recruit folks back to your own...when YOU are the reason they left (or are leaving!) in the first place!!!

started by some trouble maker....will it never end???

Hmmm...don't know...will it? How about you come to DUBLIN this weekend to see WHY people got into this sport in the first place...and why you thought it would be good to make a living from it...then you can take some things back to your dropzone to IMPROVE things a bit!!

I've been to your dz, psycho...it really wasn't all that, but what I did like were the people. Lose them and you lose your draw, your appeal, your own unique flavour! It's just sad that you've already lost some of your best!
