On the other hand, I prefer direct bag because they open so quickly, the student does not have enough time to flip through the lines.
IAD offers equally fast deployments, getting to line stretch long before the clumbsiest student can flip through the lines.
We had a student do this very thing the other week. Direct bad deployment. Ended up with his leg caught in the lines, and him hanging upside down.
He managed to clear himself, and not break anything...
