ladyskydiver 0 #1 May 16, 2005 Team Funnel is bringing the beach home for the fourth annual Memorial Day Boogie for charity! Get a taste of the tropical fun in the air and on the ground while we help raise money for a great cause. We'll be playing games on the ground, in the sky, and probably even in the pond, with prizes to be awarded each day and a few surprise toys to be handed out. In addition to the games and contests, you'll have a chance to relax down by the bonfire with great food, drink, and song during Saturday night's luaua, satisfy your cravings with sweets at the bake sale, and maybe even participate in a record attempt! If you were there in years past, you know the kind of fun we have. If you've never experienced a TF boogie before, here's what you can expect: Cook Out -- Don't forget the Saturday night cook out. If you haven't been to Skydive Chicago and seen the docks around the pond and the wonderful bonfire pit, you just can't appreciate how beautiful this is. With our very own Paul Wold doing the grilling again, what more could you ask for? Live Music -- Of course, our cook out just wouldn't be right without the live band. Can you guess who we're having this year? If you said Serilian, you're right. Some of the best music to come out of Chicago, and we've got 'em. They've become a tradition at our Memorial Boogie and we're happy to keep them coming back as long as YOU like them (and so far, you all do!) Bake Sale -- This usually doesn't last long. In fact, it's lasted less than an hour in some years!. Thanks mostly to Rae and Gretchen, we have some really gooooood stuff here (at least, that's what the lucky tell me). This year, I've been assured the product quantity will increase. But . . . get 'em while they're hot and don't miss out! Dunk Tank -- The ever popular Get Somebody Wet tank. Yes, it'll be there again. You'll have your opportunity to dunk some of the most notable skydivers around. And don't forget the manifest staff. We'll do all we can to get some of them on the board as well. Last year Eric took a dunk, as did the guys of team Loki. TaterHead Competition -- Last year, this was a blast. It was lots of fun, and made for great video! This year, we're bringing it back again, with a twist. The idea behind this is to put together a Mr. Potato Head in freefall. More Games! -- The ole spud is joined this year by some new games. We'll have creeper races, accuracy contests, guessing games, and a whole bunch of other games on the ground, in the air, and maybe even in the pond! Record Attempt -- We'll be trying to set a TeamFunnel Record for a BigWay over the weekend as well. Come join in (if you have a number), or get your number on Saturday and join the jumps on Sunday! Or just come watch the fun and spectacle! Other Stuff -- If you've been to the Team Funnel Memorial Boogie before, you know there's tons of stuff not mentioned here. It's all happening again this year. If you haven't been before, you'll just have to come out this year and find out for yourself. There's just too much to list here. Things like the Bonfires . . . Organizing by World Champions . . .Camping . . . Canoeing . . . Horseback Riding . . . Jello Shots . . . Heated Showers . . . Heated Bunkhouse . . . Fishing . . .
