Skydiving in Cabo

I will be there August 4th, it's a port of call on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise. From what I understand, the DZ is only 15 min. from town. I want to jump while I am there, but would like more info. I went to the web site and got some info, but would like more, and would like to meet people who jump there on dz.com before I get there. If anyone can give me info I would appreciate it. I've never done a beach jump before (I usually jump at Perris or Elsinore), so would like info on beach jumps, particularly Cabo.

Call ahead to the dropzone before you go out there.

The landing area is pretty big, and landing is similar to Perris, you might have to crosswind a bit if the wind is on or offshore.

I will be there in September and was thinking about making a jump or two. Let me know how it goes. Have you been there before? This is my first time and am looking for info on Cabo. What is fun to do there etc. Good places to stay, food, etc. -Matt

A bunch from our dz worked there this past winter. It's all good. Try the fish tacos for a buck on the beach. A place near me here in Mich. sells Cabo fish tacos. (for $3.50)

There is actually a place here in Houston named Cabo's. They have bad ass fish tacos. Yes I am hungry.

I am DZO of Skydive El Sol in Los Cabos. We will be very happy to have you jump here! In fact, the cruise's port is extremely near our DZ. I don't think you'll have trouble, but it will be very helpful if you can call us ahead (Ph No (624) 108-9592). Right now winds are a bit strong, but in august they are perfect! Beach landings are easy and our staff will explain what you need to know. We have water gear, which is required for low jump divers.

I was planning a week in Cabo San Lucas from the 20th of august to the 28th. Will the DZ be open all week long or just on weekends?
Is the DZ on the beach or beach landings are occasional?
