saucy_dee 0 #26 June 16, 2005 The best will be Hibaldstow then! 360 mile round trip for me each weekend! Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can do today
sparko 0 #27 June 16, 2005 With regards to the bad reviews of headcorn, we actually thought the same and were reluctant to go there for a while. Eventually we ended up going down there though, and its actually not like the reviews make out. I've been down several times since then and everyone is always friendly enough, facilities are pretty good, regular loads, and the bunkhouses are cheap! Give it a go, its worth a try at least. GeordieSkydiver 0 #28 June 16, 2005 Hibs is great too. I've jumped at Sibson and Hibs, both are excellent with great facilities/aircraft/jumpers, I just happen to know more peope at Sibson. I like jumping at multiple DZ's, it adds to the fun and experience. That said, 15,000ft on every lift is fucking awesome.Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk
LRC 0 #29 June 16, 2005 I am looking forward to travelling to other DZs and meeting new people, new planes etc,...but when I know a bit more about what I'm doing,.... while I'm learning, I'd feel much more comfortable sticking to one place and building up confidence. stuartjl 0 #31 June 17, 2005 Hey, I'm the owner at Skydive London, yes at Swindon... Always get your training where you feel most comfortable. People have different views about things but most people are trying to do the best by their students. Learning to skydive is an intense experience and is all about instructor-student mentoring. My advice is to choose the people and not the centre.
LRC 0 #32 June 18, 2005 I trained at Strathallan in Scotland, but have since switched universities to cardiff.... so staying where i feel most comfortable is a bit of a problem. ....however, I'm sure I'll be fine once i've jumped a few times elsewhere. ...will probably come see you guys at swindon in the next few weeks! ...saving my pennies at the moment.
