psipike02 0 #1 July 20, 2005 So right now I'm out in Colorado (loving it ) and jumping at Mile-Hi and I'm going to miss it alot when I have to go back to school for my final year before I move back out here for my job permanently.... But my question is, especially to those in Michigan near Tecumseh - I go to UofM - but to anyone up north, what do you guys do about jumping during winter. I can barely go 2 hours without thinking about or talking about skydiving, so i definately can't go like 6 months.....so yeah, what do you guys do in the winter....please tell me there is some way we can still get up....Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

We jump all winter long, as long as the temperature is above 40 degrees. Except for New Years day, it could be 0 degrees and we would still jump. It is the best way to bring in the New Year! Everything over -20°C (-4F) on exit is fine. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong. A full face helmut makes life a lot better in freefall. I dress in layers as I have found that the underarmor is too warm to pack in. Enjoy! Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
