willt 0 #1 July 29, 2005 First off, this is kind of cross-posted in the intro forum....http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1755672#1755672 Mods, if this is unacceptable in the training forum, feel free to delete. I appologize. I would just like to find some local jumpers to meet up with and maybe learn a thing or two before attending AFF training. I'll buy the beer! -will "I dont have any good skills." -ND
DJL 235 #2 July 29, 2005 Better to just pay attention in class. Quality instruction is set up with a big picture in mind and emphasizes things that are important to your initial experiences. There's no getting ahead or prepping. Your instructor will cover the things that need to be on your mind and it's better to work with a blank slate."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
dbattman 0 #3 July 30, 2005 I used to jump there from about jump 5 to 50 back in '01. and I visited last fall. They are a pretty good group and a lot of fun to hang with. You'll have fun there- bring Coors light if you're legal.

The only words of advice I like to give to new students is: 1- Listen 2- Comply 3- Confess Follow those and you should be good. Oh, and be careful who you take advice from for the first few hundred jumps and back everything up with multiple sources. Opinions and mileage vary.
