Brains 2 #26 August 16, 2005 QuoteI work right by it also (Four Seasons). Didn't know there were several of us skydivers in the area. You ever go to the Cedar Door after work? You could go to One 2 One bar in the bottom of that big building on 5th and Brazos, (glass pointy things on top, is that the frost bank building?) the owner is a skydiver. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

bluskidave 0 #28 August 17, 2005 QuoteYay...LETS GO!!! Still bound and determined to put a group together for Monday....come join us...even if it is just jumping off the Frost Bank building (is that the highest building now in Austin?) Now you're getting somewhere, don't need no frigging pilot to base jump,no reserve either.hook up with Erik"When in doubt whup it out !!!" Santee an instructor at SSM, whom I'm sure he has made his 700th base jump between San Marcos and Rantoul and Back.Of course complete your Aff and put a couple of hundred jumps under your belt. One to One is a great place and ask the owner why he sold his Cobalt. Soft Landings, Dave

I am going to try to do some jumping locally at wes-tex skysports on laborday weekend but if that falls through I will probably be making the trip. I just sold my motorcycle so hopefully that will = more jump money. I did a couple of jumps at CAPC in Arkansas during vacation. It's good to hear from you guys! I was offered to chance of a life time to go fly in The Last Frontier. Unfortunatly its on some what short notice. i need to be in Anchorage on the 28th. The last week has been a blur, and the next few will only go faster. Texas Skydiving Center is a small one Cessna DZ. Ive been there as both a pilot and a jumper. if they say they can accomade your group go for it. Be aware it will probably be one tandem at a time. It might take all day. As a jumper you should definitly go try a small DZ like salado or lexington sometime. Good luck with AFF and blue skies. Ben
 flyer299 0 #38 August 17, 2005 Ben, You should stop by lexington sometime before you leave. Been a long time since we've seen you there. As far as big tandem groups, we can pretty much do 2 at a time, unless they want video. A group of 14, we can get done in less than 1/2 a day. Good luck with Anchorage. I wish you only the best. Everyone has been so nice and apolegetic about cancelling my reservation and been very accomidating about getting me up in the air again. My group is still undecided, but I will be out there on Friday at noon. I will probably bring a few victems...er, tandems...with me. Hope to see everyone there!!! I'll be the one looking scared and babbling from nerves...
