diablopilot 2 #8 August 24, 2005 No it means they are Non-USPA. I think what you may have meant is that Lodi is a fun DZ, with a great crew of jumpers, some of the best FreeFlyers on the west coast, and good vibes. They also happen to not be a USPA group member.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. kelpdiver 2 #12 August 24, 2005 I'd say they're more 'non-uspa' than most. No waivers, no nannying, and no place for whiners to go. All in all, a great place. I wish it were a bit closer to SF.

Elisha 1 #14 August 24, 2005 As I've only been there once, I don't have much experience to draw from. They operated the Beech 99) when I was there. Is the Beech usually not running? That plane is fast! I definitely prefer it to an otter.
craigslist 0 #15 August 24, 2005 Lodi's the only place I've jumped, but I'm totally happy with everything and everyone there... Not clique-y or dangerous, just a bunch of really great people in the same place for the same reason. Like Mara said, bring beer!!

That plane is fast! I definitely prefer it to an otter. It all depends on how many jumpers we have. The Otter goes up on busier days. The past few weekends I have done Otter jumps only. If we are really super busy then the tandems go in the Otter and Bill will fly some light Beech loads of just fun jumpers. Talk about a fast trip to altitude! apoil 0 #18 August 26, 2005 QuoteQuoteFYI, they are non-USPA. which means pretty much nothing, FYI. j No it does mean something. For one thing, it means that you wont be asked to present current USPA membership in order to jump there.
