BillyVance 34 #1 October 4, 2005 Hey you DZ peeps! I will be at Lake Wales October 12-16 for the Deaf World Record and Casa boogie. Come out and help us support the Casa! They are bringing it out for our event, even though their winter season doesn't start until the end of the month. So, come on out and give us a holla! Oh wait, we won't hear ya... BillyVance 34 #3 October 5, 2005 QuoteAre you bringing your crw canopy? Hell yeah! If we have time, wanna do a little CRW? I think Jimbo (Bolton) told me he was gonna come out during the weekend. First I want to get the world's first all-deaf 4 stack or bigger, then I can play. It would probably only be on Sunday the 16th, since our RW record attempts run Friday and Saturday. So come out and meet us if you can. If they're going to enjoy it, they want to feel it in their bones! because believe me... nothing else does it. Brains 2 #10 October 5, 2005 Hey Billy, i been meaning to ask you if you have heard from Charl lately. I don't know if he is jumping much these days after his little around the world trip. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
Derekbox 0 #11 October 5, 2005 Well maybe we should dig up some nice big fat subs, drop a couple bass beats. I have just the music. D'Bo

He's been jumping some this summer and is coming to Lake Wales to join the rest of us next week! Brains 2 #13 October 5, 2005 Very cool. I was fortunate enough to be at SSM when you guys had the first WR. Charl used to jump with me and some other low timers every weekend. He taught me a ton. I even let Gideon pack for me a few times. The only problem with him was that he used to find our "pouring" beer for SCR ceremonies and drink it. I guess he liked cheap beer. Tell him Jeff from San Marcos said Hi! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
BillyVance 34 #14 October 5, 2005 Did we meet each other at San Marcos that time? I'm not sure, but you might remember a very bright orange jumpsuit (that was me). Brains 2 #15 October 5, 2005 I think someone pointed you and John Woo out. But i was a newbie then and i didn't jump much. I remember the enthusiasm being very similar between you guys and the cancer survivors jumps. Incredible to see a group of people come together for a cause and accomplish a record. It was a good thing for me to witness at that time. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
flyangel2 2 #16 October 5, 2005 I've been lucky enough to jump with a few of you guys. Thanks me between David and Charl. Not to mention John being very close. Humm, makes me wonder if the LOs put me there for a reasonMay your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. BillyVance 34 #17 October 6, 2005 Quote Humm, makes me wonder if the LOs put me there for a reason That's exactly why... because they're fookin' deaf and you know sign language. And also because they can get you to interpret any important info to them for free... maybe you should charge them a jump ticket for your services next time... Squeak 17 #21 October 8, 2005 Hey Billy this is gunna sound like a smart arse question, but it's notHow do a bunch of deaf people get called to the loading area, if you have say 20 or so people, doing their own shit and they get a boarding call how are they gunna know? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
Clite 0 #22 October 8, 2005 Hopefully the plane will not take off mostly empty.
Squeak 17 #23 October 9, 2005 QuoteHopefully the plane will not take off mostly empty. See now that's a non-helpful smart arse response to a question posed to Billy, thanks very much for your lack of help. Given that the record will require probably more than one aircraft there maybe just a couple from each aircraft adrift, so therfore they would not be Quotemostly emptyYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! Clite 0 #25 October 9, 2005 QuoteSee now that's a non-helpful smart arse response to a question posed to Billy, thanks very much for your lack of help Wasn't meaning to be offensive, just a little humor. I am deaf myself and actually rely on video monitors throughout Skydive Dallas and people on my load who know me to help me keep up with the manifest when I jump there. At smaller DZ it is easier to have people who know you keep you updated.
