jimmyjay 0 #1 October 20, 2005 USPA has it listed. They even have a website. www.skydivekauai.com. But no info for fun jumpers. Looks like a tandem only dz. They haven't responded to my email yet.
kelpdiver 2 #2 October 20, 2005 one of the guys (Marcus) at Skydance moved there end of June. At time, said yep, a tandem mill, but said come out and we'll do some water jumps. Seems like it should offer you service, unless their LZ is considered unsafe. Monterey has an alternate LZ that is only open to those with pro ratings. jimmyjay 0 #3 October 20, 2005 Thanks for the info. I think I'll take my rig just in case. I would bum out if jumping was available and I had no rig. But maybe I could just rent a tandem rig and jump that. That's not exactly how I understand it. The alternate is usually closed to anyone who isn't doing a tandem or filming a tandem. If you've never been out there, go take a look when the main landing area is clouded in. It's very hilly, and I wouldn't want to land there. Have you tried calling Skydive Kauai?BASE 1224, Senior Parachute Rigger, CPL ASEL IA, AGI, IGI USPA Coach & UPT Tandem Instructor, PRO, Altimaster Field Support Representative
 jimmyjay 0 #6 November 8, 2005 Skydive Kauai got back to me. Tandem only. Oh well. I still got a chance to swim in the blue room, snorkle and hike. Breathtaking place. I would recommend riding up the the Napali Coast on a Harley. Perfect ride.
