upndownshop 0 #680 June 28, 2006 SkyFest Updates We lost the stearman But we have confirmed the Pitts! We have made arrangements for the Stearman to be at SD Aggieland for their AOT boogie, so you can jump it there. The Pitts will run $110.00 this includes an aerobatic ride as well as the jump. we are working on getting a separate price for a "no" ride jump. we will let you know. We have one more challenge that we need your help on. The balloon pilot has had to cancel. we have been trying to find more balloons, does anyone have any leads for a jumpable balloon? we have nearly exhausted our sources. As you know we do not advertise events or AC without prior confirmation. Unfortunately these challenges were out of our control

JENNR8R 0 #683 June 29, 2006 Has anyone booked at the Days Inn in Alvin? And did you mention SkyFest or Skydiver? Quote I called, but they didn't know about Skydiver rates. They asked that I call back during business hours. When I compared the distance of the hotels on Mapquest, Alvin is 18 miles from the DZ and Angleton is 13 miles from the DZ. I had to pay $5 more per night to stay at the Best Value in Angleton, but it's five miles closer. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday. Which has better restaurant choices? I know we ate at Chili's and a couple more places in Angleton last year... Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me! But it's better to actually go to Pearland as there are MANY more choices for restaurants there. It's not that big of a deal to drive to Pearland and then return to Angleton or Alvin. Alvin is closer to Pearland though. Angleton has Chili's, Arby's, McDs, and a handful of other typical restaurants. There's almost always a group going to Pearland for Dinner at one of the restaurants. We usually car pool there and back. More restaurants than I can list here in Pearland, but Italian, Mexican, Steak, Sushi, fast food, Fuddrucker's, TGI Friday's, Chili's, just to name a few.Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. Ben Hang tight for me till midday tomorrow before you do anything, let me straighten something out. What Nathan says is correct, I cant vouch for the Pearland part cause I never made it passed Angleton. Let me see what I can do. thanks J
