brianfry713 0 #2 December 19, 2005 There's supposed to be a DZ opening up at the airport in South Lake Tahoe, but as far as I know, they're not in full operation yet. Email laketahoeskydivingcenter@gmail.com or call 1-530-544-9SKY and see what they say. That's really close (a few minutes) to Heavenly. There also used to be Skydive Lake Tahoe in Beckworth, CA. They shut down, and that's on the other side of the lake (a few hours at least), but last I heard if you get a group of guys together you might try and call Mike Vail and he'll fly a few loads in his Cessna 207 for you. Other than that the closest would probably be to drive down to Lodi (a few hours).BASE 1224, Senior Parachute Rigger, CPL ASEL IA, AGI, IGI USPA Coach & UPT Tandem Instructor, PRO, Altimaster Field Support Representative
kelpdiver 2 #3 December 21, 2005 Both sound pretty cold in January, with the ground level temps typically in the 20-40 range.
