Elisha 1 #26 January 7, 2006 Quote In Lompoc (Skydive Santa Barbara), you land fairly close to the runway in a clearing, or the students land in a larger open dried out creek bed. There is a van but it's a short <5 minute walk or even shorter jog to the hangar and runway. Oh, there sure is water in it now! And there was the day after Christmas as well. Quote I don't know about Cloverdale, Madera, or Taft. Oh, the Cloverdale landing area is about a minute or so crawl from the landing area, depending on what side you land. skybytch 273 #27 January 8, 2006 QuoteIn Davis they usually want you to have a B license before you land at the airport, there is a barn about a 5 minute van ride away that the students and A license holders usually land at. That's changed. Currently students and A license holders are landing primarily in the south field on the airport.
Elisha 1 #28 January 8, 2006 People just too lazy to drive the van now? That south area can be rather bumpy I remember from my one time landing there.
