spinwizzard 0 #1 December 31, 2005 Hi to everyone in DZ land, just though i'd post a message as i have returned from freefall university in ocana near madrid, my experience of the place was that of utter disgust, firstly the poor organisation and secondly the curious smell of the instructors roll ups if you know what i mean!!!! these so called instructors work a 15 sometimes 16 hour day now surely that can't be safe would you trust hurling yourself out of a plane with someone who has jumped upwards of 10 times a day, oh and then there's the 1-1 instruction, there were 2 to 3 students with one instructor because it seems they can't keep them long enough for the amount of bookings they take, then there's the money up front and if you have to retake anything you have to pay for it they won't take it out of what you paid already. many people just ran out of money because of re jumps but then left money in there account that you can apparently take later, personal DV tapes went missing or the instructors used them for other people so the moral of my story is avoid the FFU like the plague and spend your money elsewhere
skymama 37 #2 December 31, 2005 The last time you inquired about this dz, you said in your post that you were going to do AFF in Embravia. Sounds a little fishy since there are a few members on here whose only contributions to the forums are to bash Freefall University. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
krazykate 0 #3 January 1, 2006 Hi, did you change your mind on going to empuria? i am looking for aff schools at the moment but i was put off empuria a little because of the high winds. i would love to go there when i am more experienced tho, i know it's a great dz from what i have heard! i've had a nightmare getting hold of this aff school, im shopping around and have chased them 3 times for confirmation of prices and terms and conditions due to things ive heard. im looking at other places too of course but thanks for your feedback, i am sure that won't be appearing on their website! maybe you should put a review on dz.com ? Kate PS i also know to take everything on dz.com with a pinch of salt!

danatkins 0 #5 January 2, 2006 Kate, I wouldn't hesitate recommending FFU. I did my AFF over a year ago and have returned several times for additional training, I learned a lot from the people there and have been jumping ever since. Very professional people and great fun.. Hope it goes wellDan
