BMFin 0 #1 January 31, 2006 Are there any Italians out there ? What are my chances to jump in Milan area a bit before the olympics ? Is Skydive Tortuga active during the week too ?
faulknerwn 38 #2 January 31, 2006 There's a beautiful dropzone in Locarno, Switzerland (Skydive Locarno) which is in the middle of the Swiss Alps. Its about an hour train ride north of Milan - most gorgeous place I've ever jumped. W
Elisha 1 #3 February 1, 2006 Yes, that would DEFINITELY be a scenic jumping place. I've taken a train a couple of times from Zurich and Frankfurt to Como.
mik 2 #4 February 1, 2006 Tortuga was open during the week when I was there last summer - can be a bit slow though - a long siesta mid-day despite what seemed like loads of people willing to jump *********************************************** I'm NOT totally useless... I can be used as a bad example
kamalasound 0 #5 February 1, 2006 Reggio Emilia aprox. 1 hour south of Milan. Otherwise there is Casale that is inbetween Milan and Turin or Cumiana that is also near Turin. Skydive Tortuga is to far away. None of the mentioned DZ are open during the week. Tortuga is open if there are enough people around eventhough during winter it is COLD!!
