puddleorbricks 0 #1 February 6, 2006 Hey everyone - I'm going out to Vegas for a week. Has anyone jumped at Skydive Mesquite?? Any comments on it? Also, has anyone done any paragliding in San Bernadino, CA? Also checking that out while I'm out there. Looks like it could become another addictive hobby. Any reccomendations for other places to jump/do while I'm out there? Thanks! -------------------------------------------------- Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much life. CSpenceFLY 1 #2 February 6, 2006 Make sure you are talking directly to the place you want to go paragliding.I think Skyride has worked their way into that sport also. .
pdj6p 0 #3 February 6, 2006 you should definetly make a jump at skydive mesquite. Just make shure you deal with them directly, don't use a middle man (sky ride). You can call them at 1-877-246-5867. or go to thier website at www.skydivemesquite.com. It is not the biggest drop zone in the world but it is the best in nevada. brianfry713 0 #5 February 7, 2006 Are you an experienced skydiver? You should fill out your profile. I jumped in Mesquite once and took a few friends along to do tandems and was really happy with the way we was treated there. They were much nicer than the other two Las Vegas DZ's that I called. If you're experienced, I think it's the only good place to jump near Las Vagas. As far as other things to do, it's Las Vegas, baby, Vegas . I'm sure you'll think of something. There's a Flyaway wind tunnel there, but it's not quite as close to really skydiving as the Skyventure ones are. puddleorbricks 0 #6 February 7, 2006 I'm working on my A liscense so I didn't know what to put exactly - an in-between? haha. I talked to Eddie at ExtremeSKydiving and he said to contact Brad @Mesquite which I did who was very nice and said he would do an instructor jump with me. If all looked good, he would let me jump on my own for the rest of the day. I have a ton of hours in SkyVenture and am excited to check out Flyaway. Is it still fun? Harder to fly in or easier? I do sitflying and am learning HD in the tunnel currently. And oh, will I have fun Thanks for the help! -------------------------------------------------- Do not be too moral.
