akahntengri 0 #1 May 2, 2006 Hello-wondering what anyone thinks of my experience with skydive Thailand; I called trying to arrange for my younger brother to jump, and to ensure that they had kit for hire for myself. I was told to book quickly online as places for the desired date were filling up fast, and that there would be AFF kit available to jump. When we arrived (after getting up at 4am to travel across Thailand!) we found ourselves the only ones there, and there was no kit. Furthermore the owner of skydive Thailand was in Bangkok-leaving the owner of skydive Pattaya which according to the owner was "entirely independent of skydive Thailand" to do the tandem. My brother and I were more than a little disappointed, and he decided not to jump-wanting to jump 1st time with me riding up in the plane. I wouldn’t want to comment on the character of the owner whom I have never met, and will try to put this down to simple unprofessionally and incompetence. On the positive side I think that the DZ has potential, being the 1st in Thailand, in a popular tourist area and close to Bangkok. The staff (along with the owner of skydive Pattya) were friendly and helpful. Hate to come on here and bitch but I was so disappointed that I wanted to warn any potential customers and also find out if this is a common experience? CSpenceFLY 1 #2 May 2, 2006 That story sounds very familiar. I wonder if he would have to pay extra to ride in the big plane. .

mik 2 #4 May 3, 2006 I might have misunderstood the purpose of this forum but the description on the main page suggests to me that this is a valid post about his experience at the dz (although I would also add it to review of the dz)... just my view. *********************************************** I'm NOT totally useless... I can be used as a bad example
kelpdiver 2 #5 May 3, 2006 if true, yes. but when an anonymous person registers just to post complaints on any online forum, the first notion that comes to mind is that someone has an ax to grind. And truth is often nowhere to be seen.
