Additional details to be published shortly. We will be using ASC's Otter, and likely build from 6 to 8 to 12 to a 16 way with 1 - 2 camera flyers over the course of a weekend in June. Date to be published soon.

Larry Clapp
Larry Elmore
Skydiving and the reasons people do it are as complex as the sport itself.I think skydiving is
a noble endeavor worthy of what we go through to be a part of it.

This is the latest E-mail from Scott:

Good Morning All:

Please email me and confirm (Y/N) that you will be participating in the GA POPS Record Attempt on June 24 and 25 at Atlanta Skydiving Center (ASC).

We still need a few more people, so please enlist your friends. They can email me for information.

All participants must be a current POPS member or fill out an application prior to the jump.

Thanks

We have set the dates for the GA POPS Bigway Record Attempt. It will be June 24 & 25 at ASC using their Otter. Please mark it on your calendar and save the dates.

Current record is a 12-way, we will be targeting a 16-way. All interested are encouraged to make it out to ASC between now and the record attempt to practice with other record participants.

The Load Organizer will be Doug Glover and the Event Organizer is Scott "Boomer" Gray (scottgray@comcast.net). All those interested please contact me via email to be added to the distribution list. Feel free to forward this to possible other interested parties. At present we have 8 confirmed people.

NOTE: ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE A CURRENT POPS MEMBER. The registration form is on the POPS website.

BRIEFLY, record requirements are:

Jumped as planned with all grips and slots.
Held a minimum of 3 seconds.
Photograph of the completed formation.
Complete the record application form.
No additional jumpers may exit with the record group.

Photographers should be informed that the photo must be taken from above the formation. The photo must show all slots and grips completed as dirt dived. Horizontal photos do not show all grips simultaneously and may not be accepted to verify the record formation.

Only one record may be claimed per jump. No progressive add-on slots permitted.

HERE'S THE PLAN

There is a GSL event at Skydive the Farm on the 24th.

Thus, we will use Sunday the 25th as the record attempt day over at ASC. Please try arrive by 10 AM, earlier the better. :S

All those that would like to come by on Saturday at ASC and get some 4 to 8 way practice in come on down.
