The Sebastian 5 offered free freefly coaching this past weekend. Free beer on Sat. night as well. One of the packers there gave me the best openings on my Xfire I have ever had from packers. Damn girl packed my shit better than I do.

I don't know if you have been there, as it looks like you jump at Miami, but if you have.....you would know that it does, in fact, "rock". Except for the railing pushing butthole, Will.

Hell Yeah ! I'm not trying to bash my old dropzone but this place rocked this weekend , we Camped out , drank beer , had a nice italian dinner with all my friends , FREE BEER , friendly people , did i mention free beer plus i got to jump with my homeboy making his 1,000th jump ! They even let me jump my batman mask with my wingsuit ! I love this place dont see myself jumping anywhere else EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!

While I like Sebastian also and the people there, I have to tell you that you shouldn't limit yourself like that. There are a ton of dropzones all over the country that are worth visiting. You get a different vibe at every one of them, jump with new people and maybe even learn something and see different scenery under canopy. You should try to jump at as many dz's in FL as you can to start with.

Someone at my home dz tried to give me a hard time once in front of the GM for traveling around. The GM said, "it's ok, she was just slumming it. She always comes back." It's true, and it's ok to see how the other guys live.

You bring up a good point, Skymama, i too have been chastized for jumping at another DZ for just one day. Just to check it out and see people that i knew who jumped there and to meet new people.

This is not the DZ i am at now as this DZO is really cool with people jumping eslewhere, but this happened when i first started jumping.

This DZO informed me that if it wasn't the WFFC or a special boogie and i jumped anywhere else that i was not welcome at his place. Other than this quirk this DZO was a hell of a nice guy and would even take the plane up {C-182) even if there was only 2 jumpers so they did'nt have to go home without jumping.

I have heard other stories about other DZO's that think this way but i don't know if it is comman.

That kind of thinking is small-minded and bad for the sport, overall. There are things I like about every drop zone I've jumped at, but I think if I had done every single jump at the same dropzone, I would have had an entirely different experience in the sport. One of the absolute best parts about this sport has been the ability to get out and travel all over and make new friends and jump with new people. I grew so much as a skydiver when I hit the road last summer ... from about 60 jumps when I left to about 100 jumps when I came back, my skill level increased exponentially. I think the chance to get out and jump with all kinds of different folks, some with experience way beyond what I would ever see at home, really broadened my skills.

Good-natured ribbing is one thing. Expecting blind loyalty and punishing people who don't give it is entirely another. As far as I'm concerned, that's not good business practice.

But tell the truth, your really more surprised that i was welcome there in the first place.

ur right thats why i'm made my new home in Sebastian . it was time for a change i needed to part with skydive miami , and its true . i've never met nicer people anywhere than the people from sebastian , and i cant wait to go back to z hills & deland , lake wales . Lets put it this way everything north from miami is my new home !
