jmp2liv 0 #251 September 18, 2006 Well, all you slackers that didn't make it out, really missed out. What an awesome weekend. Thanks Lisa for all your work! Thanks to Mike too, for cooking that great dinner. And to Dave for putting up with the hours driving the 206 around. LOL. Now, if I can just make it over that damn log roll just once! Well, I'm NOT a slacker and I bet I worked harder than most of you this weekend and I think YOU guys really missed too from what I was doing. I'm glad everything worked out after all. Btw, when did the Caravan end up arriving and how long did it stay?
NWFlyer 2 #253 September 18, 2006 Caravan showed up late morning or early afternoon Sunday and did maybe 5 loads? Skydive Santa Barbara brought a lot of their tandems up as they were weathered out down there. It was a win-win. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. skybytch 273 #255 September 18, 2006 QuoteI bet I worked harder than most of you this weekend I worked harder than anybody else this weekend. And I had a kick ass time doing it. My thanks to EVERYBODY who showed up!! You made it worth all the stress, effort and expense. 40 registered jumpers managed 15 loads on the 206 (not bad considering the two airport shutdowns on Saturday) 5 loads in the Caravan, ate 40 pounds of tri-tip and 200+ jello shots, and drank a keg of beer (and a shit load of cocktails - thanks for the daquiris, Monkeyboy!). No injuries, nobody swooped the pond, nobody whined or complained about the slower pace (at least not to me )... A big "Woo Woo" to Dave Hughes from Skydive Santa Barbara for the aircraft support. Having the Caravan on Sunday was awesome. Give us a year or two to forget about the stress and expense and maybe we'll do it again.
monkycndo 0 #256 September 18, 2006 What a great weekend. From the pre boogie party at "The 6" (toe licking and all), the incredible location, fun jumps, and killer feast, you slackers missed an awesome weekend. I'm glad you enjoyed the blender drinks. They were fun to share. Lisa, fantastic job and very nice reinactment of the Lancaster Bomber. Thanks to Dave for providing the planes on such short notice and to Mike for the feast.50 donations so far. Give it a try. Why I said most.I worked 12+ hours both Sat & Sunday, at a Food Festival in Santa Rosa from before opening to after closing for clean-up/takedown...and am going back after work today for 1-2 hours to cleanup some more. My church puts it on and this the 18th year. It is similar to the many Bay Area Greek Festivals, but more diverse (Greek included, but many other eastern euro and other cultures too). I managed the Coffee booth (feature Greek coffee and blender frappucinno-like drinks).

Thank you. Due to the e-coli thing she's being required to stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks to get IV anitbiotics. I thought of you guys often. Sounds like you had a great time! Butthead: Whoa!
