mirage62 0 #1 July 26, 2006 Just wondering who might be going. FYI there is a B&B near the dz (10 minutes tops) that is fairly cheap. If anyone needs a close room 903-364-2592 called the Holiday House. I stayed there last time and it's neat. BUT there isn't anything to do in do in Whitewright. But there is a nice place to sit and drink beer Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

headoverheels 333 #6 July 27, 2006 Can't make it; jury duty and other travel. I wish the invite would have gone out earlier (okay, maybe they had to start scraping the bottom of barrel before I got one), so I could have planned around the event. yjumpinoz 0 #7 July 27, 2006 Yes, those were last years dives. I hope they give some info pretty soon....

Hey, at least you GOT an invite! Some of us didn't even make it into the barrel.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. gemini 0 #9 July 29, 2006 This is really strange. I've never received and invite either, but Larry Henderson told me via email this week that I was on the list. Apparently the refund from the 36-ways acted as my deposit. Hope they let me know what day and time to be there! Blue skies, Jim

We have had only 26 people confirm for the August 25-27 Texas Two Step. It seems that it's a lot tougher this year for people to travel to events, and jump budgets are smaller. I know that you may have been wondering about the lack of follow up information about the event. We've been trying to work up a solution. Larry Henderson has proposed that we do a smaller event in lieu of canceling the event. etc.... I guess the lack of invites came back to bite.... mirage62 0 #14 August 1, 2006 Heck I've got the airline tickets, the car rental, and a room at the B&B so I'm going. I'd rather do good twenty way anyway. But most importantly I have permission from the wife!Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
mirage62 0 #15 August 2, 2006 Quote I guess the lack of invites came back to bite. The story I hear was that the invites didn't go out at all like plan. Not sure who was in charge or what the screw up was. I'll miss the people who won't be there, but good 20 ways are more fun than 80 ways. I bet Joe and the group will do what they can to make whatever happens fun. Besides our dz King Air is down for repairs and I want to jump.Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
yjumpinoz 0 #16 August 2, 2006 I was a little bummed at first, but I think that with the smaller group we may get some really complicated dives from Larry and BJ. Looking forward to it.
