JNJ 0 #1 August 26, 2006 I'm new to the sport and looking for a good drop zone as close as possible to New York City - any reccomendations?
DottieBear 0 #2 August 27, 2006 Either Sussex(about 1 hour or so, I would say) or Cross Keys(about 2 hours). Sussex is smaller and more personal, Cross Keys is one of the biggest in the country. Both are operated by Freefall Adventures and awesome places to jump :) Check out both!~Dottie “Everything looks perfect from far away.” Postal Service, Such Great Heights

Blue Sky Ranch will always be among my favorite DZ's, its busy but yet still really fun. Crosskeys is really busy and a good chance to jump a lot there. Lots of options so look around and see where you fit in the best at.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

berchtoldaj 0 #7 August 29, 2006 Hey JNJ, Crosskeys, the Ranch, Sussex, Skydive Long Island, Skies the Limit, are all great skydiving centers. Each has a slightly different feel. I would suggest over time visiting each and calling the one you are most comfortable at home. Skydivers from NYC visit all of these dz's and different personalities fit it at each. Good luck in your travels, and hopefully I'll bump into you along the way!!! Al************ Watch out for planters.
