Pilot reached up with left hand and grabbed the D-bag and held it down on teh plane while he yelled at the jumper to get back in. Jumper did not hear and continued climbout. Pilot turned it over and let go of the D-bag. D-bag floated until it pulled the pilot chute out. Canopy yanked jumper off the plane. D-bag, lines and pilot chute barely missed getting hung up on the tail of the plane. Jumper landed safely and never knew what happened until it was shown to him. Oh, don't be a party-pooper, come up just because it's a boogie and you'll meet a lot of new and fun people! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
SWATcop 0 #362 October 9, 2006 LOL. I'm not really a skydiver, I just skydive once in a while. Five minutes after my feet hit the ground after the last jump I am in the car on the way home (Party pooper).Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #
bigern13 0 #363 October 9, 2006 The hot air balloon is weather dependant. The winds have to be east to west (or west-east) but they cant be north to south, thats what the balloon guy said anyway. So we will see. I heard Joe will be there for sure. "I love 'lamp'." -SKYMAMA

jeiber 0 #365 October 10, 2006 QuoteI heard Joe will be there for sure. Don't think that's what he meant, but funny nevertheless! edit to add - I can see the confusion now. Pitts, the plane? Pitts, the twins? I guess you have to know the Pitts brothers (no relationss to the plane).Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring! bigern13 0 #368 October 11, 2006 LOL Yeah, I am an idiot. So what else is new. lol BUT last I heard it will be there too. I sure as hell hope so. I am looking forward to that. It will be my Pre-second jump from it. "I love 'lamp'." -SKYMAMA
popsjumper 2 #369 October 11, 2006 You guys may want to review the "special" Pitts jump that happened at Skyfest on the DZMemories web page: http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventthumbs?event=0BUT0040 One reason is the Pits cockpit is VERY small. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239

bigern13 0 #371 October 11, 2006 QuoteDamn that looked like it could have been really nasty Key words in bold. Thats really not that different (IMO) than someone stepping out on to the camera slot of the caravan (or any plane) and their pilot chute comes out as has happened in the past. Just goes back to making sure your gear is tight and gear checks before/after boarding the (any) plane and before exit. Looks like the guy was ok. Glad to see that. popsjumper 2 #372 October 11, 2006 Big guy in a small cockpit. Pin pulled and D-bag fell out on climbout. Now, don't let this scare you away from a Pitts jump...just be EXTRA careful on climbout and make double, triple sure that you gear is properly secured. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
