CSpenceFLY 1 #2 September 8, 2006 Thats good news.It is unfortunate that we are seeing more and more reports that start with 'After a battle with the city". .
freakflyer9999 1 #3 September 8, 2006 I only jumped there once, but Umatilla was my favorite DZ anywhere. The scenery from altitude was fantastic and the people were extremely friendly. And they could spot too. It was cloudy and raining off and on the day I was there. They would spot a hole in the clouds in the distance, load up the caravan, climb to altitude and the hole would be right over the DZ every jump. SWATcop 0 #4 September 13, 2006 Thats great! I used to jump there when it was "Paragators" in the mid 90's. Did my first night jumps there and first kiss pass (Pam Manos) there also.Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #
SWATcop 0 #5 September 13, 2006 Is the new DZ going to be located in the same hangar/ facility as the old "Paragators"?Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #
CaptFrank2001 0 #6 September 14, 2006 We will be using the same area for landing about 50 yards East of the runway. Just outside the perimeter fence. There is still the old P's there used by the Paragators. We are NOT affilated with the Paragators but a lot of their jumpers and one of their pilots will be on the DZ. We are just getting things off the ground and hope to expand ASAP. Eventually we hope to have a hangar and office near the runway in the old Paragator buildings. For now we just want to get up and running.Capt. Frank 737 Captain, US ATP, Japanese ATPL, Flt. Engineer, POPS-9846, US Navy Retired - Submarine Veteran.
