garywainwright 0 #2 February 24, 2003 Hi Jo, I notice that you jump at Langar - this really is a question for an intructor who can then watch u under canopy. Ask Milko or Richard at Langar and you won't go far wrong. Have fun!!http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
JoHawley 0 #3 February 24, 2003 Al a bit complicated - I jump at Lanager when I am in the UK, but am based in Belgium now and the first time I'll get chance to jump it will be out in Empuria - far from the expertise of Milko and Richard. Any ideas who should I speak to there?

CanuckInUSA 0 #5 February 24, 2003 Quote I'm about to get a Sabre II. Jo I'm not going to give any advice on landing because: 1) I'm really not qualifed to give such advice. 2) I've never seen you land and don't know what issues you may have. But ... I do own a Sabre2 and I'm really happy with it. So much so that I'm getting myself another one very soon. billvon 3,070 #6 February 24, 2003 What size? What are you loading it at? What level of experience do you have? Can you flat turn, flare turn and land with rear risers? Can you body steer on opening? Is this your first elliptical? It's hard to give advice based on the original post; there's a lot to landing modern HP canopies.
Kolla 0 #7 February 25, 2003 Congrats on your new canopy Jo! It's a bit hard to give any advice since I don't know very much about you or your jumping (what sizes/models you have tried before and how you felt about those canopies). However, there is a great article on PD's website (http://www.performancedesigns.com/sabre2.htm - at the bottom of that page) about the flight characteristics of the Sabre2. Also, for the first few jumps you might want to pull a little bit higher (check with manifest + pilot to see what altitude is ok) as that gives you a little bit more time to feel out the canopy before you bring it in for your first (beer!!!) landing Have a great time with it - let us know how you like it once you have put a few jumps on the canopy! JoHawley 0 #8 February 25, 2003 Thank you all. I will find an instructor once I get to Empuria to give me some help. Will let you know how she flies. Jo
