chrismgtis 0 #1 December 13, 2006 Looking for suggestions on some good DZ's as close to beaches as possible. I have a paid weeks vacation available and would like to take a vacation to a beach with a nice DZ near the water with a great view so I can jump all week and have fun on the beach. Also, if you can suggest the DZ's and link their websites that would be great so I can see what the view is like. Thanks Wow, I think I've made my decision. Skydive Space Center is really nice it seems. They also have lodging for free and free camping? The prices aren't bad at all either and they take you up to 18,000 feet for a few dollars more? I'm definately IN. Another 20 seconds of freefall for a few bucks is definately worth it.Rodriguez Brother #1614, Muff Brother #4033 Jumped: Twin Otter, Cessna 182, CASA, Helicopter, Caravan
skymama 37 #2 December 13, 2006 Actually, I'd suggest Skydive Sebastian for the view, it's always voted one of the most beautiful views around. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
chrismgtis 0 #4 December 13, 2006 QuoteActually, I'd suggest Skydive Sebastian for the view, it's always voted one of the most beautiful views around. That also looks like a pretty cool DZ. I wonder how far they are from each other. Maybe I could make a trip to both while I'm down. About an hour apart. Yea I will definately try to make a trip to both to check them both out. Hm, so I think I am going to plan the trip for March 16th around the shuttle launch and hopefully I can get a nice birds eye view from altitude.Rodriguez Brother #1614, Muff Brother #4033 Jumped: Twin Otter, Cessna 182, CASA, Helicopter, Caravan

Allballs 0 #8 December 13, 2006 Yep you should come to the Invasion at Sebastian there is already a group coming from SC so you will know people. Plus everybody from Titusville are coming to this boogie so we wont even be at Space center to jump.
chrismgtis 0 #9 December 14, 2006 I won't be able to make it for a few months. I've drained my funds continously getting through AFF. Now I'm just going to save up for a few months and go down with enough money to jump most of the weekend. I'm still going to be jumping solos and I need to do a few coached jumps too. Should have my license in a few weeks. So that will slow down my saving effort a bit. If this happens I'll definately be visiting both Sebastian and Space Center though. Christmas didn't help my bank account either. jguy904 0 #10 December 14, 2006 As a skydiving surfer I'm always on the hunt for dz's with great beaches (and surf). I have lots of jumps at spacecenter and some at sebastian and i've spent lots of time at their beaches. the beach at spacecenter is a national seashore and completely undeveloped. the only man made thing in sight is the shuttle launch pad. sebastian also has a park with an inlet and the best surf in florida-- however, the pr free fall festival in feb is really great--warm and right at the beach (also good surf in feb) thinking further out, australia has warm weather, more great beaches than u can count, and you can jump right at the beach. new zealand also has jumping right by the beach, but the water is cooler--- there are definitely more, but along with oahu these are the main spots with surf that i've found..looking at el salvador--i've been surfing there twice and now i see they have a jump listing in parachutist so i'm gonna chekit-- lots of choices for dz's with beaches MUFF #3384, DIRTY SANCHEZ #28(Chief Recruiting Officer), FALLING GATOR #7801-A, POPS #10957, FLYING HELLFISH #847, HISPAS #79, SRA #9229, Surfador Rodrigues
