Jumping in Ireland

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into flying to Dublin next weekend and I'm wondering where I can jump! I'm stuck in Germany and all the DZ's near me are closed for the season (expletive deleted). I checked out the IPC's website and noticed that they are open weekends year-round, which is sweet. Anyone know if anythings going on there next weekend? I assume there are trains that can get me there, any input there?

Not really. The nearest major town is Kildare, to which you could get either a train or bus. Based on the website, it's about 20km in a taxi to Clonbullogue. It might be easier to email or call the IPC and see if there's someone that can give you a lift.

Not much public transport in that area .
You could get a bus from Dublin to Edenderry ( about 5miles from DZ )
Or you could look for a lift by posting on http://www.skydive.ie/forums/

Weather last Saturday was great with lots of jumping all day ,Sunday was a wash out !
Forecast for next weekend is not good but you could be lucky

Hey,

when do you get into Dublin? I will be heading down to the DZ (Irish Parachute Club) on Saturday morning and I can get you there no problem...or pick you up if you get a bus to Edenderry.

Give me an email on brantmartina@yahoo.com before Friday and we can arrange something....

Martina.
