NickR 0 #1 February 13, 2007 Hi guys and girls. I was just wondering which is the best DZ in the area to head out to when I'm visiting next month. I'll have a car and can travel within reason. I need to get as many jumps in as possible, so I need a busy place. I've looked at the locator on the site, but I could do with some local help! Cheers, Nick
bodypilot1 0 #2 February 13, 2007 The busiest will be Lodi and $15 jumps. PM me if you need more details. Be safe Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
pfloyd 0 #3 February 13, 2007 Also consider Skydance Skydiving in Davis, CA. I know a lot of people that come from SF. My drinking team has a skydiving problem
McBeth 0 #4 February 13, 2007 Just to be different I'll say check out Bay Area Skydiving in Byron, CA. Honestly they are all good DZ's and on a weekend they will all be busy.
SkyProdigy 0 #5 February 13, 2007 doesnt one of those dropzones up there jump from 18 k?
kelpdiver 2 #6 February 13, 2007 Quotedoesnt one of those dropzones up there jump from 18 k? SMB and Hollister often do (driven by tandem demand), I think Skydance does occasionally for holiday weekend events. Haven't heard of Lodi or Byron doing so. That said, I've sometimes had more altitude on a 15k with a light load than on a claimed 18k run.
pfloyd 0 #7 February 14, 2007 Quotedoesnt one of those dropzones up there jump from 18 k? I know Skydance does 18k jumps, I'm not sure about the other places as I haven't been anywhere else yet. My drinking team has a skydiving problem
hjumper33 0 #8 February 14, 2007 Ive been to 3 of the 4 mentioned and they are all great DZs. Havent been to Byron, but I hear its awesome as well. If you are just looking for jump number, Lodi will put up a lot more loads on week days. I really like skydance on the weekends, but ill probably be ditching school tomorrow to hit some $5 hop and pops at Lodi.
siddacious 0 #9 February 16, 2007 Bay Area Skydiving gets my money, though Skydance is pretty cool too.A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
Smilie 0 #10 February 25, 2007 lol, Byron all the way! Of course I am biased, and haven't jumped at the others, but we are all a cool group of people, and weekends in Byron rock! ... Fear not death. Fear instead the unlived life.
