startskydiving 0 #1 April 11, 2007 Grand Opening of Start Skydiving at the Warren County Airport, Lebanon, OH May 4th-6th Start Skydiving is currently open Fri-Sun and flying a Super Otter. The Caravan arrives on April 28th. Start Skydiving will host the Mayor of Lebanon, Members of the Chamber of Commerce, and the public for a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony on Friday May 4th, at 4 pm. Start Skydiving is home to Team Fastrax, the most ambitious professional skydiving team in the world. Members of the Team Fastrax Demonstration and Tandem team will jump with local VIP’s following the ribbon cutting. Members of the River Rats, flying home built RV 7's and 8's will perform an acrobatic and formation flying show at approximately 6:15 pm. Hot air balloons will launch before sunset. Skydivers and members of the general public are welcome to attend, tour the facilities and speak with members of the Start Skydiving staff and Team Fastrax. Raffle tickets will be on sale all weekend for the Toss Your Boss from an Airplane Fundraiser that benefits children and their parents dealing with the physical and emotional difficulty of congenital or acquired heart disease so they can attend Camp Joyful Hearts and the Heart Center Family Retreat Weekend at Camp Joy Outdoor Recreation Center (www.joec.org) in Clarksville, Ohio. Purchase a chance to toss your boss from an airplane for $1.00. If you win, we’ll pick up your boss in our team SUV and drive him or her to the DZ for a tandem skydive. The Grand Opening Festival will continue on Saturday, May 5th, 2007 through Sunday, May 6th. A very limited number of balloon jump slots are available for sunrise launches ($85 each). Experienced skydivers will be jumping from 9 am until sunset. Organizers for all disciplines. Saturday, at 5 pm, Aces and Eights Harley Davidson will head up a Motorcyle Rally at the Warren County Airport. At 6:00PM, Team Fastrax Demonstration team will jump the World’s largest 7,350 square foot American Flag. Hot Air Ballons will launch before sunset. Hot food, cotton candy and cold drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day. The evening meal Saturday will be Cinco De Mayo burritos and nachos. Camping available on the DZ. startskydiving 0 #2 April 12, 2007 Invitation To All Skydivers: If you want to improve your skydiving skills this year, participate on organized loads, compete and/or just have fun. Come on out the evening of Friday, April 13th at 7:00PM, if you can't make that we'll meet again on Saturday, April 14th at 9:00AM. We'll give you an overview of what we have planned for the year, and the support you can expect to help you achieve your skydiving goals in 2007. Topics to Cover: +Local NSL Meets. If you don't have a team and want to, we'll help put teams together. The first MESL meet is May 26th. Both Team Fastrax 4-way teams will be on hand that week training and at the first meet coaching. +Team Fastrax coaching and load organizing. RW, freefly and swoop. We will be off and running the whole month of May. Look for the TFX Swoop Team, and RW teams all month. We'll put together some canopy piloting skills camps the second and third weekend in May. +Event schedule for 2007, including the Grand Opening Festival planned for the May 4-6. +How to get super cheap jump tickets when Team Fastrax is training (7 weeks this summer). +What type of resources will be available: aircraft, camping etc. +USPA rating courses to be held on site all year. +Question and Answer Period. For every jump you make on each of those days, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $20 TGIFridays gift card. Two drawings for 2 cards every day.
