Recommended Posts

I was just looking through the classifieds and seen an ad for a packer needed for a DZ in Fowlerville Michigan, anyone have any info on this? Not the job, the DZ!

The lack of enthusiastic replies is your first red flag. This DZ has been the topic of some other threads, so you can do your own research & decide for yourself. I'd suggest trying key-words like "internet scam" and "plane crash."

IMO, if you're not going to become part of the money-making tandem pipeline (packer?), then there's probably little reason to go there.

Good luck!

Ok, I'll answer my own question. Made a phone call and got directions and went to check the place out. First people I see was Viktor the Russian and his girl Katja whom I met the summer before last out at Napoleon Skydiving Center! Very large landing area which is the biggest I've seen so far with few obstacles, 1 Cessna 182. Pretty small operation with a large airfield. Watched a tandem go up which was pretty exciting for my whuffo buddy and his son! Supposedly they are doing tandems and what they are calling AFP, they just started operations on May 1st. Seems to have a very laid back vibe to it. Pretty nice place overall!:)

Most licensed skydivers don't find that nearly as exciting:S
