Extrakt 0 #1 June 28, 2007 Hey I'm possibly coming out to Memphis soon for work. Were is it good to jump around there? and how far away? Is there any windtunnels around there? cheers "If murder and suicide are illegal, then why is it ok to kill yourself and others with cigarettes?????" www.myspace.com/Hypoxicmusic
BIGUN 1,409 #2 June 28, 2007 Why go to a wind tunnel when you have Mullins King Air right there? http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/Detailed/62.shtml EDIT: Sorry, mate... Didn't realize you were from down under. West Tennessee Skydiving is THE place to hit while in there. Great vibes, great people, fastest King Air on the planet (14,000' in ~seven minutes). Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
Thanatos340 1 #3 June 28, 2007 I believe that Mike Mullins Place is nearby. West Tennessee Skydiving. No Tunnels that I know of.

As far as distance goes, Mike gives particularly good driving directions in the website (and elsewhere). The only wind tunnel in Tennessee with which I am familiar is the one in Pigeon Forge - assuming it is still in operation. Say hi for me. Pigeon Forge is at the opposite end of the state, a lengthy drive. It's a difficult tunnel to fly in.

It's not really a tunnel, per se... just a column of air with no safety walls to bounce off of....
