Orlando 0 #33 July 29, 2007 Quote Alright!! The fun starts tomorrow - and you have no escape!! Be ready for 9 days of the 8th Wonder!!! Tongue Ouch! The fun started last night..... The day started slow with the weather. Still, I managed to squeeze a couple of 40 ways and some other fun jumps. This is my first time at summerfest.* In the morning, the helicopter got here and started doing rides for skydivers and non-skydivers alike. Everyone that walked out of that ride, came back with the same grin and saying how great the right was. Seems the pilot did a great show for the riders. I still don't know who played last night, but they were great, once the figure out how not to trip the power breakers. The place is like disneyland for skydivers. The swimming hole, complete with sands beaches, proved to be entertaining after midnight. The tiki bar had lot of alcohol for anyone interested. I think my alcohol quota is covered for the rest of the event. The weather looks great this morning. I expect that we should get a lot more jumps today. micduran 0 #36 August 2, 2007 The UFO jumpers last night we like nothing I have ever seen before. They looked like meteors flying through the sky. Scary shit to have sparks coming off your back when it comes time to pull. The fireworks show was great, too. Loud booms, bright colors. Ooooohs and Ahhhhhhhs. They even had an ice carver and juggler dude. Tonight we get the Team Dirty Sanchez foam party! What a happy place this is. Truly like Disneyland for skydivers. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
AndyU 0 #37 August 12, 2007 I just wanted to say thanks to Rook and everyone that helped to put on Summerfest this year. The DZ and the people were amazing and very accommodating. I'm so happy that I was able to make it this year, and be a part of it. Skydive Chicago knows how to put on, and handle a huge event. It was great to meet and jump with everyone there, and for those of you who didn't make it, you better come next year! It's an event not to miss!! I hope everyone enjoyed my foam pit :) Andy-- Andy Ussach Team Dirty Sanchez Ex-Vice President #38 Explosivo Rodriguez #1385, Muff Brother #3503, "Woody" Hellfish #
