atsaubrey 0 #42 September 21, 2007 Not to sound like too much of a noob but are the winds a problem in Byron, for jumping that is."GOT LEAD?"
monkycndo 0 #43 September 21, 2007 Byron is known for being a windy DZ. The winds can be howling or non existant. It is surrounded by windmills. But with few obstructions, there is not much turbulance. The landing area is big with plenty of outs. If you are use to the winds at El'Snore, you should have no problems at Byron. Besides, if the winds pick up, the beerlight gets turned on early. One year we got winded out on Friday. Beerlight got turned on about 3pm. I have never seen such a wild evening of karaoke. Elisha 1 #44 September 21, 2007 Quote Elisha was riding around on Amazon's shoulders. But it will NEVER happen again. ...I'm just sad that the Boogie couldn't have WAITED until the first weekend in October so I can come. There is always next year. See you again soon, Sean & Krisanne. jacketsdb23 49 #45 September 21, 2007 Winds are never a problem at Byron. The 3,000+ wind mills are just for aesthetics. Actually, we tell everyone to downsize before coming to jump at Byron. I recommend two downsizes in the off chance that winds are around 30 knots. But not to worry I looked at the weather forecast. Winds are supposed to be around 0 next weekend.Disclaimer: just playing. please do not take this post seriously.
