BaumsAway 0 #2 October 31, 2007 The St. Louis Skydiving Center (Bowling Green, MO) and Archway Skydiving Center (Vandalia, IL) are both about the same distance from St. Louis (a little over an hour). I know that both are open on select weekdays, but I'm not sure about Mondays. The St. Louis Skydiving Center is currently flying a Beech 99 (SUPERFAST 21-place turbine) and Archway is currently flying two Cessna 206's. brettski74 0 #3 November 1, 2007 QuoteI know that both are open on select weekdays, but I'm not sure about Mondays. I called St Louis Skydiving Center a couple of weeks ago cos I'm heading down there for a couple weeks for work. I can't remember the exact conversation right now, but the guy did say that things are generally slowing down at this time of year, so the Beech may not be flying any more unless enough people turn up, and things are probably only going to be happening on weekends. They also fly a Cessna to 10500', not sure what type, but I'd guess a 182. I'd give them a call, to be sure, but the impression I got from the phone was that at this time of year, loads outside of the weekend are unlikely. When are you heading to St Louis? SkydiveQL 0 #4 November 1, 2007 With the end of Daylight Savings Time, The St. Louis Skydiving Center is technically on a winter schedule; open Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday. With that being said, we are still available seven days a week: if you want to come out and get some jumps in on a Monday, just give us a call and we’ll organize some weekday jumping. As always, the weekday minimum on the Cessna is just two jumpers, and the weekday minimum to get the Beech in the air is only four. We always have enough jumpers on the weekend (and pretty much always during the week) to get the Beech in the air. The only time we've flown the Cessna in the past couple of months is the sunrise hop n' pop loads that flew last Sunday. You can pretty much guarantee that the Beech will be flying on any weekend. We have both freefly and RW load organizers available each weekend and would love to have you out. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-800-STL-JUMP. brettski74 0 #5 November 1, 2007 I sit corrected, but I'll happily be wrong if it means there's going to be a turbine in the air! If all goes according to plan, I should be there November 10/11. Sounds great. I'm looking forward to it. Blues.
