DSE 5 #1 November 13, 2007 Anyone here have information about jumping in Israel, specifically Tel Aviv? I'll need to rent gear and trying to find either someone at the DZ that can reply to email, or a sport jumper there that might be willing to rent me their gear. pilotdave 0 #2 November 13, 2007 The nearest DZ is Paradive, which is near Netanya (if you have a map handy). I jumped there last year. GREAT dropzone. People were great, beautiful scenery, great facilities, and a couple of Caravans. Smallest freaking landing area I've ever seen though, but plenty of outs. Unfortunately last I heard they were becoming a tandem mill and not allowing any fun jumpers. Don't know what the latest is. There's another DZ in the south called SkyKef. A bit farther away, but it's a small country so it's not THAT far. Dave
DSE 5 #3 November 13, 2007 I'd spoken with an Israeli Air Force officer that is a good friend, he tells me that Skykef isn't at all worth the drive. I've emailed Paradive, but the response about renting a rig came back with info about renting a tandem (Sigma) rig. I've only got one free day there, so not really into carrying my rig (I'm off to other parts of the world following Israel, can't skydive in those locations).
