demo 0 #1 November 27, 2007 I know you just can’t wait to come out and play again. There is nothing better than doing what we love and helping someone at the same time. Our next almost world famous event will be at Skydive Houston. The event will be a fundraiser for Larry Hinson. Larry was injured during the landing phase on a demo jump at Ballooner. Most of you know Larry he has really helped many skydivers become better skydivers and is an AFF instructor. Larry enjoys doing 20ways, and at least once a month he invites all that want to come out and learn more on this entry level of big ways format. It is time for us to show our appreciation for what he has done for the sport. Larry has given so much it is time for us to help us and has never asked for anything back in return. If you have been with him on the ride to altitude, you undoubtedly joined in with him singing one of his famous songs. Larry has come to our needs and helped without hesitation and now it is our turn to come to his needs. We have made a few changes to our scrambles to be able to hold a few jumps just for Larry. The scrambles will consist of 4 jumps instead of our normal 5 to allow us time to organize a couple of 20-ways. Now, I know this is asking a lot, but if we would get enough for two 20-ways we will hold a very special 20-way meet that should warm Larry’s heart. Lets look at the benefits here: · Give to a fellow skydiver that has always helped others · Be able to jump with some of the best skydivers in the state · Food, did I mention we are serving lunch · More food, we will be serving dinner also · Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the end of the meet. This is a very special event for a very special person in the skydiving arena. I would like everyone to forward this email to every skydiver you know. Come out and show your support.
