islandhopper 0 #1 November 28, 2007 Hey - Just wondering what is involved with starting up a skydive centre? there are several small airports with land around them for sale around here. Just curious here really. How big of a lot do you need to land in? 5 acres? 10? more? What zoning requirements would one have to adhere to? Any ideas of what to check out? Can they be profitable? i just went tandem last weekend and now am hooked already and mind racing with ideas
Nutz 0 #2 November 28, 2007 You know, I heard Darrel Waltrip say this about racing and it holds true for skydiving. "You know how to make a small fortune in racing? Start with a big one." Just my $0.02. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

islandhopper 0 #4 November 28, 2007 kinda sober right now looking in Bahamas. would there be an interest in this? maybe partnering with a FL based company to drop people over the site, and then drop back the next day or wherever? not sure how customs and immigration would work!
