Planning a trip to Florida over MLK weekend. Where is the best place to go? My wife doesn't jump and would like to go to the beach.

Get a hotel at Daytona Beach for your wife and then drive the 12 miles to Deland for your skydiving.

That is as good as it gets.

Deland is a good suggestion. Sebastian is also close to the beach, but that area attracts an older crowd. The nicer beaches are actually on the West Coast. If you went to Z-hills, she could hang-out on beautiful Clearwater Beach, but the drive for you to the dz would be a lot longer.

We're having a boogie in Palatka that weekend. Don't know about the beaches there though.

Come to sebastian, and tell the wife to go to the beach around the inlet so she can wave at you as you fly over head on the way to altitude.

Just in case you're wondering the closest beaches to Palatka are St. Augustine, Crescent and Daytona and are 35, 45 and 70 minutes away respectively.

Plus the boogie in Palatka is our annual Collegate Boogie hosted by the Falling Gators.

And unless you're from Canada it's probably not going to be the most favorable beach weather anyway!!!
